We don’t just love pollinators, we love all life found in nature! Yellow garden spiders (Argiope aurantia) are orb weavers, meaning they create huge, beautiful webs that collect a lot of the more annoying insects you would not prefer having in your garden. While they can be scary looking to some, they are virtually harmless to humans and should never be killed just for existing in your garden space. If their web is located in an area that you would prefer it not be, simply remove it and relocate the spider to an area that is alright for them to use. More than likely, they’ll create a new web there and be out of your way.
